How Our Network Works
Talk to a provider
Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent roofing provider. Not to Hugegym Roofing. We make the introduction, then step aside.
That provider runs their own business. They set their own prices and schedule. They do the work if you hire them.
What Happens First
The first conversation is short. Expect questions about your roof.
- How old is it?
- What material is on it now?
- Is there a leak, missing shingles or storm damage?
- Roughly how large is the house?
Then the provider books a visit. Call hours vary by provider, so ask when they can come. Many providers can respond quickly, but we cannot promise a time.
For emergency roof repair needs, such as a tarp over an open hole, tell the provider up front. Our referrals focus on new roofs, so ask what they can do.
Questions to Ask Before You Sign
Use this list. Ask before you sign.
- Are you licensed and insured here? A good answer is a yes, with proof you can see. Be wary of "we'll send it later."
- Is the quote in writing? It should list materials, labor, cleanup and the total. A verbal number is not a quote.
- Will you tear off the old roof? Ask about decking repair, and how extra costs get priced.
- Who does the work? Their own crew or subcontractors? Both can be fine. They should say so.
- What is the payment schedule? Be cautious if someone wants most of the money up front.
- What warranty comes with the job? Get the terms in writing.
Red Flags
- Pressure to sign today.
- A price that changes once you hesitate.
- No written estimate.
- A door-knock after a storm with a "special" deal.
You Are in Control
You can say no. You can get more quotes. You can take a few days. A solid provider expects that.
Get it in writing, and compare line by line.
